Privacy Policy (BC-PP-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Beacon Technologies Private Limited ("Beacon", "we", "us", "our"), the operator of the Beacon website and application (the "Platform"), collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data of travelers ("Users") and independent trip planners ("Planners") who use the Platform.
Beacon is a marketplace that connects Users seeking travel planning services with independent Planners who offer them. This Policy applies to all personal data processed through the Platform and is issued in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act"), the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder (including the SPDI Rules, 2011), and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, to the extent applicable.
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Definitions
- "Personal Data" means any data about an individual who is identifiable by or in relation to such data, as defined under the DPDP Act.
- "Data Fiduciary" means Beacon, which determines the purpose and means of processing Personal Data.
- "Data Principal" means the individual to whom the Personal Data relates – i.e. a User or Planner.
- "Consent Manager", where applicable, means a registered entity that enables a Data Principal to manage consent.
- "Sensitive Personal Data" includes government-issued identity documents, financial information, and other categories treated as sensitive under applicable law.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information Collected from Users (Travelers)
- Identity and contact data: name, email address, phone number, date of birth (if provided)
- Account credentials and profile information
- Trip preferences: destinations, dates, group size, budget, travel interests
- Communications with Planners and with Beacon support
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, referral source
- Approximate or precise location, where you enable location permissions
- Reviews, ratings, and other content you submit
3.2 Information Collected from Planners
- Identity and business verification documents, including government-issued ID (such as Aadhaar or PAN) and business proof (such as GST registration or a trade license)
- Bank account details, collected in anticipation of future Beacon-mediated payouts (see Section 7)
- Itinerary, package, and pricing details listed on the Platform
- Communications with Users and with Beacon
- Verification status and any documents submitted for re-verification
Aadhaar and other government ID numbers are treated as sensitive personal data. Collection of ID and GST documents under Section 3.2 is accompanied by explicit, separate consent at the point of collection, distinct from general acceptance of this Policy.
3.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see our separate Cookie Policy, BC-CP-001)
- Log data, crash reports, and analytics data
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To connect Users with Planners and facilitate trip planning and bookings
- To verify Planner identity and business credentials before allowing them to list services
- To provide customer support and respond to queries or grievances
- To send booking confirmations, service updates, and (with your consent, where required) marketing communications
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms & Conditions
- To improve and personalize the Platform, and for internal analytics
- To comply with applicable law, regulatory requests, or court orders
5. Legal Basis and Consent
Under the DPDP Act, Beacon processes Personal Data primarily on the basis of your consent, given at the time you create an account, submit verification documents, or otherwise provide information through the Platform. Where permitted, we may also process limited data for "legitimate uses" recognized under the DPDP Act (for example, to respond to a request you have made, or to comply with a legal obligation).
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 12; however, withdrawal will not affect processing already carried out, and may affect our ability to continue providing certain services to you (for example, an unverified Planner cannot remain listed on the Platform).
6. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your Personal Data. We may share information with:
- Planners and Users, to the extent necessary to facilitate a booking or trip (e.g. a Planner receives a User's trip preferences and contact details once a booking is confirmed)
- Cloud hosting, analytics, and other service providers who process data on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality obligations
- Law enforcement, regulators, or courts, where required by applicable law
- A successor entity, in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy continuing to apply
7. Payment Information
In this version of the Platform, Users pay Planners directly; Beacon does not process, collect, or route booking payments and does not hold or store any payment card, UPI, or bank credentials used for that direct transaction. Planner bank account details collected during verification (Section 3.2) are held in anticipation of a future version in which Beacon facilitates payouts, and are not used to move funds in this version. When Beacon introduces mediated payments, this section will be updated to name the payment gateway used and describe how card/UPI data is handled by that gateway.
8. Data Storage and Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect Personal Data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including access controls, encryption in transit, and restricted internal access to verification documents limited to authorized personnel involved in the verification workflow. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Data Retention
We retain Personal Data for as long as necessary to provide the Platform's services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Planner verification documents are retained for the duration of the Planner's active status on the Platform and for a reasonable period thereafter as required for audit, tax, or legal purposes. You may request deletion of your data as described in our Data Deletion Policy (BC-DDP-001), subject to any legal retention requirements.
10. Your Rights
Subject to the DPDP Act and its rules, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the Personal Data we hold about you and the processing activities carried out
- Request correction or completion of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data
- Request erasure of your Personal Data, unless retention is required by law
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity
- Withdraw consent at any time (see Section 5)
- Register a grievance with our Grievance Officer, and if unresolved, approach the Data Protection Board of India
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in Section 12. We will respond within the timeline prescribed under applicable law.
11. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at, and should not be used by, individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from minors. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete it.

14. Governing Law
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising in relation to this Policy are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [City], Maharashtra.
Terms & Conditions (BC-TC-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Beacon website and application (the "Platform"), operated by Beacon Technologies Private Limited ("Beacon", "we", "us"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy (BC-PP-001), and, where applicable, our Planner Agreement (BC-PA-001).
You must affirmatively accept these Terms (e.g. by checking an "I Agree" box) before creating an account or making a booking. Continued browsing alone does not constitute acceptance for account-holders.
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to use the Platform.
2. Nature of the Platform
Beacon is an online marketplace that enables independent trip Planners to list travel planning services and enables Users to discover, communicate with, and book those services. Beacon is an intermediary as defined under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and does not itself act as a tour operator, travel agent, or provider of travel services.
- Beacon is not a party to the contract for travel services formed between a User and a Planner
- Beacon does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any Planner's itinerary, pricing, or listing
- Verification of a Planner (see Section 5) confirms submission of certain documents; it is not a guarantee or endorsement of the Planner's services
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Beacon may suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms
4. User (Traveler) Obligations
- Provide accurate trip requirements and communicate in good faith with Planners
- Pay Planners directly and in full for confirmed bookings, on the terms agreed with the Planner
- Comply with any specific terms, cancellation windows, or requirements set by a Planner for a given booking
- Not use the Platform to arrange payment or communication outside the Platform in order to avoid applicable fees ("circumvention"), where such a policy applies
5. Planner Obligations and Verification
Planners are independent third parties, not employees or agents of Beacon. Detailed obligations, listing rules, payment terms, and verification requirements for Planners are set out in the Planner Agreement (BC-PA-001) and Planner Verification Policy (BC-PVP-001), which are incorporated into these Terms by reference for any user acting as a Planner.
As part of verification, Planners must submit government-issued identity proof and business proof (such as GST registration or a trade license). Beacon reserves the right to reject, suspend, or revoke verification at its discretion, including where documents cannot be authenticated.
6. Bookings and Payments
In this version of the Platform, payment for a booking is made directly between the User and the Planner, on terms disclosed by the Planner prior to booking. Beacon is not a party to that payment, does not process or hold booking funds, and does not charge Users a service fee in this version.
- Prices displayed are set by the Planner and disclosed prior to booking
- Users are responsible for paying Planners through a lawful payment method agreed between the two parties
- When Beacon introduces a mediated payment flow, this section will be updated to name the designated Payment Partner and describe fee, escrow, and payout mechanics
7. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund terms are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy (BC-RCP-001), which forms part of these Terms. Refund eligibility depends on the individual Planner's cancellation policy for a given listing, disclosed at the time of booking, since Beacon does not hold booking funds in this version.
8. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or affiliation
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Platform's operation or security
- Post false, defamatory, obscene, or infringing content, including in reviews
- Circumvent the Platform's fee structure once one is introduced
- Upload malware or attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or Beacon systems
9. User Content and Reviews
You retain ownership of content you submit (such as reviews, photos, or itinerary descriptions), but grant Beacon a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, and distribute such content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform. You are solely responsible for content you post and must have the rights necessary to grant this license.
Beacon may, but is not obligated to, remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines (BC-CG-001).
10. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, software, logos, and trademarks, is the property of Beacon or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Beacon's trademarks or branding without prior written consent. Further detail is set out in our Intellectual Property Policy (BC-IP-001).
11. Third-Party Services
The Platform may link to or integrate with third-party services (such as maps or communication tools). Beacon is not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third party, and your use of such services is subject to their own terms.
12. Disclaimers
THE PLATFORM AND ALL SERVICES LISTED ON IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
- Beacon does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the Platform
- Beacon does not guarantee the accuracy of Planner listings, itineraries, or pricing
- Travel inherently involves risk (health, safety, weather, local conditions); Users assume these risks when booking travel services through a Planner
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Beacon's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform shall not exceed ₹5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand), reflecting that Beacon does not charge Users a service fee in this version of the Platform. This cap will be revisited and increased to a fee-linked formula once Beacon begins charging fees. Beacon shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under Indian consumer protection law, including for gross negligence or willful default.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Beacon, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Platform, or violation of any law or third-party right.
15. Suspension and Termination
Beacon may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or as required by law. You may close your account at any time by contacting us; see our Data Deletion Policy (BC-DDP-001) for what happens to your data after account closure.
16. Grievance Redressal
Complaints regarding the Platform, a Planner, or a booking may be raised through our Grievance Redressal Policy (BC-GRP-001). Our Grievance Officer's contact details are set out in our Privacy Policy (BC-PP-001), Section 12, in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000.
17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Section 16, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at [City], Maharashtra.
18. Modifications to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
19. General Provisions
- Severability: if any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force
- Entire Agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any incorporated policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Beacon regarding the Platform
- No Waiver: failure to enforce any provision does not waive Beacon's right to enforce it later
- Assignment: Beacon may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
- Force Majeure: Beacon is not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond its reasonable control
20. Contact
For questions about these Terms, contact us at beaconlbr@gmail.com.
Planner Agreement (BC-PA-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
This Planner Agreement governs the relationship between Beacon Technologies Private Limited ("Beacon") and any individual or business registering as a travel planner ("Planner") on the Platform. By completing Planner registration, you agree to this Agreement in addition to the general Terms & Conditions (BC-TC-001).
1. Nature of Relationship
The Planner is an independent third party. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint venture relationship between the Planner and Beacon. The Planner is solely responsible for the travel services they offer, including their legality, quality, pricing, and delivery.
2. Verification
Planners must complete verification under the Planner Verification Policy (BC-PVP-001) before listing any package. Beacon may suspend or reject a Planner's listings at any time if verification lapses or is found to be inaccurate.
3. Listings
- Planners are solely responsible for the accuracy of listing content: itinerary, inclusions, exclusions, pricing, and availability
- Beacon may remove or edit listings that violate the Community Guidelines (BC-CG-001) or contain misleading information
- Planners must keep pricing and availability current; repeated inaccuracies may result in listing suspension
4. Booking Management
Planners must respond to booking inquiries and confirmations in a timely manner and honor confirmed bookings on the terms disclosed at the time of booking, except where prevented by circumstances covered under Force Majeure (see BC-RCP-001 and BC-DIS-001).
5. Payments (Version 1.0)
In Version 1.0, Travelers pay Planners directly; Beacon is not a party to that payment and does not collect, hold, or disburse funds on the Planner's behalf. Planners are solely responsible for issuing any invoices, receipts, or tax documentation required under applicable law (including GST, where applicable to the Planner's turnover). When Beacon introduces a mediated payment or commission model, this section will be replaced with the applicable fee structure, payout timeline, and tax treatment, and Planners will be given advance notice before it takes effect.
6. Future Subscription Models
Beacon may, in future versions, introduce subscription tiers offering Planners enhanced visibility, reduced fees, or additional tools. Any such model will be governed by a separate fee schedule incorporated into this Agreement by reference, with advance notice to existing Planners.
7. Reviews
Planners may not manipulate reviews, including through fake bookings, incentivized reviews without disclosure, or retaliation against Travelers who leave honest negative feedback. Violations may result in listing suspension.
8. Content Rights
Planners retain ownership of the content they upload (photos, itinerary text, descriptions) but grant Beacon a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to display, reproduce, and promote that content in connection with operating and marketing the Platform, for as long as the listing remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter for archival/promotional purposes unless the Planner requests removal.
9. Suspension and Termination
- Beacon may suspend or terminate a Planner's account for violation of this Agreement, the Community Guidelines, fraud, repeated Traveler complaints, or failed re-verification
- A Planner may terminate this Agreement at any time by deactivating their account, subject to honoring any already-confirmed bookings
- Termination does not relieve either party of obligations that accrued prior to termination (e.g. honoring a confirmed booking, or Beacon's data retention obligations)
10. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of India, with courts at [City], Maharashtra having exclusive jurisdiction, consistent with the Terms & Conditions (BC-TC-001, Section 17).
Refund & Cancellation Policy (BC-RCP-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
1. Beacon's Role
Beacon is an intermediary that facilitates discovery and booking between Travelers and Planners. Because payments in Version 1.0 are made directly between Traveler and Planner, refund and cancellation terms for a specific booking are primarily governed by the individual Planner's cancellation policy, disclosed at the time of booking — not by Beacon.
2. Planner Cancellation Policies
- Each Planner must disclose their cancellation and refund terms clearly on their listing before a Traveler books
- Beacon requires Planners to meet minimum fairness standards for cancellation policies (a defined notice period, and no blanket zero-refund default) as a condition of remaining listed
- A Planner who cancels a confirmed booking without a valid reason (e.g. Force Majeure) may be subject to review under the Grievance Redressal Policy (BC-GRP-001) and potential suspension
3. Traveler Cancellations
Travelers wishing to cancel a booking must do so in accordance with the specific Planner's disclosed cancellation window and terms. Beacon does not independently guarantee any refund amount, as it is not a party to the payment.
4. Beacon's Refund Responsibility
Because Beacon does not collect payment in Version 1.0, Beacon has no independent obligation to issue refunds. Beacon's role is limited to: (a) ensuring Planner cancellation terms are disclosed pre-booking, and (b) providing dispute assistance under Section 5 below if a Planner fails to honor their own disclosed terms.
5. Dispute Assistance
If a Traveler believes a Planner has not honored their disclosed cancellation or refund terms, the Traveler may raise a grievance under BC-GRP-001. Beacon will review the listing terms, communication records, and may mediate between the parties, suspend the Planner pending investigation, or take enforcement action under the Planner Agreement (BC-PA-001) — but cannot compel a direct monetary refund, since Beacon does not hold the funds.
6. Force Majeure
Neither Beacon nor a Planner is liable for cancellations or delays caused by events beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, government restrictions, strikes, epidemics, or other events of Force Majeure. Planners are encouraged to disclose their own Force Majeure terms as part of their cancellation policy.
7. Future Payment Integration
When Beacon introduces mediated payments, this Policy will be updated to include Beacon-administered refund timelines, chargeback handling, and escrow release conditions. Until that model exists, this Policy does not imply that Beacon holds or controls booking funds.
Planner Verification Policy (BC-PVP-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
1. Purpose
This Policy sets out the eligibility criteria, required documentation, and process by which an individual or business becomes a verified Planner on Beacon.
2. Eligibility
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts
- Must operate, or intend to operate, a legitimate travel planning practice (individual or registered business)
- Must not have been previously suspended from Beacon for fraud or serious policy violation
3. Required Documents
- Government-issued identity proof (e.g. Aadhaar, PAN, passport, or equivalent)
- Business proof, where applicable (e.g. GST registration, Udyam/MSME registration, trade license, or partnership/incorporation documents)
- Bank account details for future payout purposes
- Any additional documents Beacon may reasonably require to confirm identity or legitimacy
4. Verification Workflow
- Step 1 — Planner submits registration form and required documents
- Step 2 — Beacon admin reviews documents for authenticity and completeness
- Step 3 — Beacon may request clarification or additional documents
- Step 4 — Approval, rejection, or conditional approval is communicated to the Planner
- Step 5 — Approved Planners may begin creating listings
5. Re-Verification
Beacon may require periodic re-verification (e.g. annually, or where a document has expired) to keep a Planner's verified status active. Failure to complete re-verification within a reasonable notice period may result in listing suspension.
6. Suspension
Beacon may suspend a Planner's verified status where documents are found to be fraudulent, expired, or where the Planner is subject to a substantiated fraud or safety complaint, pending investigation under the Grievance Redressal Policy (BC-GRP-001).
7. Appeals
A Planner whose verification is rejected or suspended may appeal by submitting additional evidence or clarification through the process described in the Grievance Redressal Policy (BC-GRP-001).
8. Confidentiality of Verification Records
Documents submitted for verification are treated as sensitive personal data under the Privacy Policy (BC-PP-001) and are accessible only to authorized Beacon personnel involved in the verification process. They are not shared with Travelers or other Planners.

2. Respectful Behaviour
- Treat other users, and Beacon staff, with courtesy and respect

3. Honesty
- Listings must accurately represent the service, price, and availability offered
- Profiles must not misrepresent identity, qualifications, or verification status
4. Responsible Communication
- Keep booking-related communication on the Platform where possible, to preserve a record for dispute resolution
- No spam, unsolicited promotional messages, or off-platform solicitation to avoid Platform terms

- Fake, incentivized (without disclosure), or retaliatory reviews are prohibited
6. Safety & Privacy
- Do not share another user's personal information without consent

7. Fraud Prevention
Any attempt to defraud another user or Beacon — including fake bookings, payment fraud, or falsified documents — will result in immediate account suspension and may be reported to law enforcement.
8. Reporting Mechanism
Users may report a listing, message, or user via the in-platform report function or by contacting [support email]. Reports are handled under the Grievance Redressal Policy (BC-GRP-001).
9. Enforcement
Violations of these Guidelines may result in content removal, warning, listing suspension, account suspension, or permanent termination, at Beacon's discretion, proportionate to the severity and history of the violation.
Grievance Redressal Policy (BC-GRP-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
1. Purpose
This Policy establishes how Beacon receives, reviews, and resolves grievances from Travelers and Planners, in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and applicable consumer protection law.
2. Grievance Categories
- Booking or service disputes between Traveler and Planner
- Verification disputes (rejection, suspension, or appeal)
- Content or conduct violations (Community Guidelines)
- Privacy or data-related complaints
- General platform complaints
3. How to Raise a Grievance
Grievances may be submitted via the in-platform support channel or by email to our Grievance Officer, whose contact details are published in the Privacy Policy (BC-PP-001, Section 12).
4. Acknowledgement & Timeline
- Grievances are acknowledged within 48 hours of receipt
- Beacon aims to resolve, or provide a substantive update on, each grievance within 15 working days, consistent with applicable IT Rules timelines
5. Review Procedure
The Grievance Officer or designated admin reviews relevant evidence — including in-platform messages, booking records, and verification documents — and may contact both parties for clarification before reaching a resolution.
6. Appeals
A user who disagrees with the outcome of a grievance may request a review by escalating to the Governing Authority within 15 days of the decision. Beacon's internal decision does not affect a user's right to pursue remedies through consumer forums, courts, or the Data Protection Board of India, as applicable.
7. Confidentiality
Grievance records are handled confidentially and shared only with personnel directly involved in resolution, except where disclosure is required by law.
Data Deletion Policy (BC-DDP-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
1. Requesting Account Deletion
A User (Traveler or Planner) may request deletion of their account and associated personal data by contacting Beacon through the channel described in the Privacy Policy (BC-PP-001, Section 12).
2. Identity Verification Before Deletion
To prevent malicious or mistaken deletion requests, Beacon will verify the identity of the requester (e.g. via the registered email or phone) before processing a deletion request.
3. What Gets Deleted
- Profile information, account credentials, and preferences
- Personal identifiers within messages, subject to retention needs described below
4. What May Be Retained
- Records required for legal, tax, or regulatory compliance (e.g. transaction records, verification history)
- Data relevant to an open grievance, dispute, or fraud investigation, until resolved
- Anonymised or aggregated data that no longer identifies the individual, which may be retained for analytics
5. Anonymisation
Where full deletion is not immediately possible due to a legal retention requirement, Beacon will anonymise the data to the extent feasible, removing direct identifiers while retaining only what is legally required.
6. Reactivation
If an account is deactivated (rather than fully deleted) at the User's request, the User may request reactivation within 30 days before the data is permanently deleted, after which reactivation is not possible.
7. Timeline
Deletion requests are processed within the timeline prescribed under the DPDP Act, after identity verification and subject to the retention exceptions in Section 4.
Intellectual Property Policy (BC-IP-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
1. Beacon's Intellectual Property
The Beacon name, logo, brand assets, software, source code, documentation, database structure, and UI/UX design are the exclusive property of Beacon Technologies Private Limited or its licensors, protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property law. No license to use these assets is granted except as expressly stated in writing.
2. User and Planner Content
Travelers and Planners retain ownership of content they upload (reviews, photos, listing descriptions). By uploading, they grant Beacon the license described in the Terms & Conditions (BC-TC-001, Section 9) and Planner Agreement (BC-PA-001, Section 8) to use that content in operating and promoting the Platform.
3. Trademark Use
No third party may use the Beacon name, logo, or brand assets in a way that implies endorsement, partnership, or affiliation without Beacon's prior written consent.
4. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, contact us at beaconlbr@gmail.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification of the allegedly infringing content and its location on the Platform, (c) your contact details, and (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability (BC-DIS-001)
Effective Date: 25 July 2026 · Last Updated: 05 August 2026 · Document Owner: Beacon Legal & Administration Team
1. Beacon's Role
Beacon is a technology marketplace connecting Travelers and independent Planners. Beacon does not itself provide travel, accommodation, transport, or guiding services, and is not a party to the contract formed between a Traveler and a Planner for those services.
2. Planner Independence
Planners are independent third parties, not employees, agents, or representatives of Beacon. Beacon does not control, and is not responsible for, the actual delivery of any travel service booked through the Platform.
3. Payment Disclaimer (Version 1.0)
As payments are made directly between Traveler and Planner in this version, Beacon bears no liability for payment disputes, non-payment, fraud in payment, or currency/tax issues arising from that direct transaction, beyond the dispute-assistance role described in the Refund & Cancellation Policy (BC-RCP-001).
4. Verification Disclaimer
Planner verification (BC-PVP-001) confirms that certain identity and business documents were submitted and reviewed; it is not a guarantee, warranty, or endorsement of the quality, safety, or reliability of a Planner's services.
5. Third-Party Services
The Platform may reference or link to third-party services. Beacon is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or policies of any third party.
6. Travel Risks
Travel inherently carries risk, including health, safety, weather, political, and logistical risks. Travelers assume these risks when booking a trip through a Planner found via the Platform.
7. No Warranties
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beacon's aggregate liability for any claim arising from use of the Platform shall not exceed ₹5,000 (Rupees Five Thousand), consistent with the cap set out in the Terms & Conditions (BC-TC-001, Section 13), reflecting that Beacon collects no service fees from Users in this version. This cap will be revisited once Beacon collects fees directly.
9. Force Majeure
Beacon is not liable for any failure or delay in the Platform's operation caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, internet or infrastructure outages, government action, or pandemics.
